Restaurant Review

This week, I ate lunch outside at the Plaza at Park Grill (the food was okay) and visited the new modern wing at the Art Institute with my husband, mother-in-law, and father-in-law. The best part of the beautiful new addition is the view from the restaurant Terzo Piano. (see photo above)We had drinks and dessert (chocolate semi-freddo with Spanish peanut nougat and caramel, which is like a frozen mousse). It was so good that I plan on going back for lunch.

Spring in the city

Due to a 70% chance of rain at the Kentucky Derby, my husband and I stayed in Chicago and enjoyed the perfect spring weather.
Here are pictures from last year:

I love spring in the city and especially the tulips.

Snuggie

Yes, that is a snuggie. It looks sooooo soft and comfortable. And there is a bar crawl coming to my neighborhood on April 18. (BYOS) I think that is the only way you could get me to wear this ........ after a few drinks, of course.

Southport Green Market

I plan on making my way to the Southport Green Market on Saturday, while my husband rests for the marathon. (at Southport and Grace) It sounds like the market is a mixture of food/arts and crafts. I am hoping to find this jewelry maker.

Lincoln Park Zoo

Lincoln Park Zoo is a great free thing to visit this summer in Chicago. Check out the calender of events here. I think I might run the 5k United run for the zoo this weekend. (you actually get to run through the zoo and you get a Nike Dri-fit shirt)
