Due to horrible driving weather (I didn't want to drive 3 hours to Michigan on snow covered roads), I had to run a few errands for my mom and make fudge in Chicago. It was my first time making fudge (I previously thought you bake it in the oven) and it turned out great. I used the recipe on the back of the Marshmallow creme jar:
Fantasy Fudge:
3 cups sugar
3/4 cup butter
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 12-oz. (340 g) package semi-sweet chocolate chips (I used Baker's semi-sweet)
1 7-oz. (198 g) jar Kraft Marshmallow creme
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Combine sugar, margarine and milk in heavy 2-1/2 quart saucepan; bring to full rolling bail, stirring constantly. Continue boiling 4 minutes over medium heat, stirring. Remove from heat, stir in chocolate till melted. Add marshmallow creme, nuts & vanilla beat till blended. Pour into greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Let cool and cut into 1-inch squares.

Your fudge tastes better than mine but the only difference in the recipe I can see is that you use evaporated milk and I use half and half. Otherwise, same ingredients. I officially retire my recipe. : ) Anne (your Aunt)
